If you're gonna rock the sheer skirt, just ensure you have the correct undergarments :)

Antlers and Art Deco
Nicole Richie although extremely thin, has an exceptional jewelry range called The House of Harlow. The Fall 2011 collection is the inspired. Gold, silver and rose gold (my favorite). The pieces have a distinctively vintage feel. I especially love the blue stones that are used in a lot of the pieces.

Fedisa Graduate Fashion Show
About 2 weekends ago I attend the Fedisa Graduate Fashion Show. It was insanely good in terms of design and production. After getting her law degree French naturally enrolled in fashion school (as one does). She was brilliant enough to get her work selected for the first year portion of the show. The first year theme was Cirque Du Surreal. And I may be slightly biased but I love her garment, especially the oversized collar. Another piece I enjoyed was also done by a friend, Olivia. Congrats you fashion geniuses.

Just a Small Leather Addiction
Nothing smells or feels better than real leather. The latest children to join my wardrobe family are these amazing tilly brogue sandals from Country Road. They make me happy! (shallow I know).

Alexa Chung for Madewell
Alexa Chung is definitely one of my fashion icons. It takes a lot for me to say that. It is not something I commit to easily. Many a star has landed up on the ‘what not to wear’ pages of a magazine. But Alexa can do no wrong. Here collaboration with Madewell is wonderful.

The Daisies
Obviously the best weekend of my life. Rocking the Daisies was super cool. So much so that I felt we should all abandon the ‘real world’ and live there together. Forming our own ‘colony’. Surrounded by hipsters, drinks and most importantly music. Living a sort of ‘Kumbaya’ lifestyle. Just a thought.
Not even a collapsed tent (tent diving is apparently a new sport) and lost car keys could have taken away from the amazingness that was this weekend. We left with partial sun stroke and covered in a thick layer of dirt but never happier. Good hustle people.

The Leather Backpack
Backpacks are no longer just for tourists who come to South Africa in their full safari gear. A leather backpack is not only practical but attractive as well. Perfect as I’m tired of trying to stuff my oversized wallet into miniature sling bags.

I R Wearing a Jean Pant
As per usual I spent money I don’t really have on a much needed summer essential. Cut-off denim shorts! Mine are from The Lot. Perfect for the Daisies this weekend.

Friendship Bracelets
I am a do it yourself kind of girl. So when I came across the blog Honestly WTF I was overjoyed! There is a DIY section where you can find out how to make everything from bracelets to belts. My little sister and I spent the day making friendship bracelets. Click here if you want make your own. It’s easier than it looks.

A Spaniel and a Beagle
I’ve never been much of a dog person until a few years ago. When my sister and I left home my mom replaced each of us with a dog. Now instead of an empty nest she has two new children called Maddie (Cocker Spaniel) and Frankie (Beagle). Maddie is highly neurotic and Frankie is a compulsive eater. Of course I think my dogs are a lot cuter then everyone else’s.
